Introduction to steering a success

The training session that was laid on by Geoff and others to introduce more members to the 'do's and don'ts' of the steering competition was well received on March 16.

Thanks to those who set it up and took part. Now let's see more people taking part in the competitions.

In a similar vein, therfe is to be a training session on April 4th at 7pm for those who fancy doing some Club 500 racing.

We know that several people have been building craft for racing and this is the ideal opportunity to learn the essential techniques to get the most from them.

Sailing Rules Quiz Postponed

The joint event with the Sailing Club on Saturday March 29th, a quiz on sailing rules has been postponed because of so many clashes with other commitments.

We will announce the new date once it has been decided.

Quiz night on March 26

Remember that we have our Hot Pot supper and quiz night at our next meeting. The hot pot will be the first item on the agenda- then the first part of the quiz.

There will be a raffle and apple pie during the interview with part two of the quiz to follow. The quizmaster promises that the questions won't be too hard.

Memberships are now overdue

The Gen Secretary has been sending out the membership cards. If you have aleady sent your membership form and fee in and not received the card it will be because they first go to the Treasurer and then have to be updated on the main records and cards printed then laminated. The cards are produced in batches so we get as many from each sheet of card as possible.
